"I Do"...Cakes is the fulfillment of my childhood dream.

I was introduced to Cake Decorating through a one-hour seminar while traveling with my parents when I was 12 years old. From the moment the pastry bag was placed in my hand, I was hooked. My brother Peter gave me the best Christmas gift that year, when he presented me with my very own pastry bag and a large assortment of decorating tips. From that point onward, I knew that I would eventually do this professionally.

Over the years, I have decorated many cakes for family and friends, learning new techniques and collecting more supplies, as I required them. Each cake was a new opportunity to learn and reinforced my love of cake decorating and desire to start doing this professionally. I was often told I should set up a business and do this for a living, but felt I still needed more experience. Besides, decorating came so naturally to me, and I derived so much personal satisfaction from it, I really didn't think of it as work.

Since having my two beautiful daughters, watching them thrive on new skills and knowledge, and seeing the pride and fulfillment when they have accomplished something new, I have realized the importance of following your dreams.

My children, now 5 and 4 have been the driving force behind my decision to follow through on this, they have been my teachers as well as my most honest critics.

It has been a long road to get to this point, 25 years of decorating cakes as a hobby, many months spent planning and setting up the business and many many nights dreaming of cakes.

I compiled my portfolio, enrolled in formal training to upgrade my skills, set up "I Do"...Cakes and haven't looked back.

To all my valued customers… past, present and future, a very warm Thank You for allowing me the opportunity to be a part of your special occasions.
